On October 30, 2018, the Regulation of the Private Investment Law was approved by the Presidential Decree no. 250/18.
The Regulation establishes all legal procedures for registering, approving, monitoring proposals, penalizing and terminating the rights provided under the Private Investment Law (LIP), as well as provides the fees to be charged to investors.
The entity responsible for supervising, promoting, and receiving the projects is the National Agency for Private Investment and Export Promotion (AIPEX).
In addition, the decree provides that regardless of the type of regime provided by the LIP, all the projects must be properly registered for the assigning benefits and concessions purposes.
This decree came into force on the date of its publication.
