On the 17th of February, Presidential Decree 54/22 was published, which sets forth the amounts for the national, single minimum wage and by economic sectors.
The single guaranteed national minimum wage has now been fixed in Kz. 32,181.15 and the minimum wage by economic groupings was set as indicated below:
- Commerce and extractive industry – Kz. 48,271.73
- Transport, services and manufacturing – Kz. 40,226.44
- Agriculture – Kz. 32,181.15
This Presidential Decree continues to provide for the possibility of companies in the Agriculture and Manufacturing sectors to be able to establish wages below the national minimum if they provide documentary evidence of the impossibility of paying the minimum amounts established by law and after authorization from the Ministerial Department responsible for Labour Sector.
